Michael D. Smith
Mike has 26 years experience in the chemicals industry and of those, 13 years working with petrochemicals and plastics. He started his chemical career in 1980 at BASF AG in Ludwigshafen. In 1994, when BASF started up the last real grassroots steam cracker in Antwerp, Belgium, Mike was offered the unique opportunity to build up the marketing and sales activities for BASF’s steam cracker products in Europe. He dealt with all products ranging from ethylene to pyrolysis oil.
