are plastic intrinsic to industrialized, consumer-based developed economies? are plastics necessary to the developement of economies? what is the situation with the production of plastic in south africa? and the use of plastics in the south africa?

I don't feel qualified to answer your first two questions, but I can tell you that South Africa has a very well developed plastics industry. We deal with Nampak and I suggest you look at thier web site. http://www.nampak.co.za
They also have at least 7 factories in the U.K.
