Is it possible to use high density polyethylene, injection grade on a injection stretch blow molding equipment to produce clear bottles? how clear (in comparison with PET) will the bottles be?

Dear Nooshin The British Plastics Federation (Plastics & Rubber Advisory Service) passed your question regarding HDPE injection grade on ISBM equipment to produce clear bottles...so I asked an expert at one of our sites involved in ISBN and here is their reply... 'This is most unusal. You will not get clear bottle and nowhere near PET CLARITY. 'Technically you could put HDPE through stretch blow system to make small jars/bottles but I am advised you would need specific equipment like screw design and may be a pre-blow system from an Aoki m/c.' I hope this is of assistance. Kind regards for RPC Group www.rpc-group.com
