I have a requirement for a plastic front panel for an electronic device containing a GPS receiver. The plastic must therefore be opaque to the radio frequencies involved (1.2 - 1.6 GHz). As I have no previous plastics experience (I have used what is available) I do not know the radio properties of plastis. I require rigid sheet for panels of 30 x 65mm which can be drilled. Can you suggest a type of plastic?

MAlcolm, I believe that most materials would meet this requirement, however, radio properties are not a commonly recorded property feature. Through the directory section of this website (www.bpf.co.uk/directory) there are lists of sheet manufacturers and suppliers, I would suggest contacting one of these directly.
