We retail various brands of recycling bin, which are generally made of one of the following: polyethylene, LDPE, MDPE, ABS and polyproplene. A lot of manufacturers state that their products are recyclable. But on a practical level, how recyclable are they? If one of our customers wants to recycle a bin that they have bought from us, how do they go about it? We are trying to provide our customers with as much information as possible so they can make informed decisions before they purchase. Also, as a matter of interest are any of the plastics mentioned above more polluting than others in terms of manufacturing processes, energy required for manufacture etc?
