Melamine recycling

Hello,

I am working a plastics comp. in Izmir/TURKEY, we basicly produce all sorts of plastic equipment especially to be used in water-works and construction. Our company has a perfect recycling sector and we use recycled raw material but for years now we have been disposing our used melamine as either we cant use it or recycle it. The economic burden of this "disposing" process is high and intricate i'm not even mentioning the time and manpower we use. I just want to learn more about the recycling chances of melamine or if there is any other way to put it in good use. Thanks in advance.

Best Regards

Duroplast recycling

Hello,

I am working for Japar Plastics Comp. Izmir/TURKEY, we basicly produce all sorts of plastic equipment especially to be used in water-works. Our company has a perfect recycling sector and we use recycled raw material but for years now we have been disposing our excess and useless duroplast as we cant recycle it any further. The economic burden of this "disposing" process is high and intricate i'm not even mentioning the time and manpower we use. So i decided to get into this subject and do some research about what can be done with our problem. I dont really know from where i can form an opinion so i hope i'm not disturbing, i just want to learn more about the recycling chances of duroplast or if there is any other way to put it in good use. Thanks in advance.

Looking for supplier of HDPE sheet

My partner and I are running a project involving the use of black HDPE sheet. We are operating from Belgium.

We are looking for an extrusion company that could supply us with such sheet in 400-450 m rolls of 1.15 mm thickness and 800 mm width. Yearly volume: 80 – 100 tons.
We do have some specific requirements for the HDPE. A typical pipe grade HDPE like e.g. Basell Hostalen GM5010 T3 or equivalent would do the job, but we do not want to restrict ourselves to such grades. Selection of the grade can be discussed in detail.

Machining UHMW 1000 on Lathes

Im new to turning plastics on lathes, and im having difficulty with swarf (Birds nesting, and eventually grabbing). When machining Metals we have the luxury of chipbreaking geometery on the tips, but they dont work with this material. Is there any trade tips or advice about turning plastics, other than "suck it and see". Ive spoken to the materials supplier to see if they can find out more, and also the tip/tool manufacturers, but they all seem to say the same, that it cant be helped with these types of plastics. Im turning a 150mm to 130mm cone shape, 100mm long, and by the time Ive done one pass im having to stop to clear the swarf as its starting to grab at the other tool stations. Its only a matter of time before it gets a good hold and pulls the job off the mandrel.
I would be gratefull of any help.
Many Thanks
Craige
