Fire Integraty of uPVC windows
I am looking at specifying a uPVC which is to be in a location, next to a fire escape and my intension is to specify 30min Glazing, but I was hoping to find out what the fire integrity is for a uPVC double glazed frame and is there a certified standard that will ensure a specified window will comply to lasting at least the length of time as the window.
The search for a recycled material....
We are looking for a recycled sheet material for use on insulated cladding panels. The material needs to be able to be bonded to and stable enough for external use.
Any suggestions welcome.
Many thanks
Plastic Coating for insulated pipe lines
Help needed please. We are in the process of manufacturing insulated pipelines for the solar heating industry. We need to come up with a solution to cover insulated pipes with a protective flexible UV resistant plastic coating. This would be to protect the insulation from the elements. The pipes have a diameter of 72mm and 20m in length, we could be producing 30,000 per month.
Any company that would be willing to look into this for us and possibly supply us would be gratefully appreciated.
Many thanks,

Looking for numerical data on annual volumes of PP, PC and PMMA in the UK
I am doing some market research on the plastics sector in the UK and am looking for the following data:
- Annual volume of plastic wall coverings (PP and PC) used in the care sector
- Annual volume of plastic sheets/boards (PC and PMMA) used in skylights
- Annual volume of plastic boards (PC and PMMA) used in sound barriers (e.g. on motorways)
Does anyone happen to have this very detailed information or, alternatively, could anyone indicate me where I can find these data? I understand the questions are very detailed, so also more general data on the use of these three plastics (preferably in the above mentioned sectors) would be most welcome.
Thank you very much in advance for your help!
Seeking a company to coat steel drain bodies with TPO
We have a roof drain system and have increasing issue arising where TPO roof membranes are used.
We would like to find a company who can coat our mild steel drain bodies with TPO (we currently have our drains dipped in PVC for compatibility with PVC roofing membranes)
Do you know of any UK companies who can provide this service?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks and Regards
coating for uPVC Windows /Doors
I am looking for a coating for discoloured windows and doors to either colour them or restore them
Recycled HDPE extrusions and sheet materials required.
We are looking to buy profiles approx 35mm square and 80mm round, plus many other shapes and dimensions.
Also full sheet materials for CNC routing. Single colours and co-extrusion.
HDPE or other similar material.
In colours, green, brown, black, white, red, blue, yellow. All must be UV stable for outdoor use.
We will be using to fabricate various outdoor products. Ongoing supply required.
Testing of HDPE Pipework Above Ground
We are currently installing A number of services above ground in a gantry construction in the CTA area of Heathrow Airport
Test procedure for such pipework is a little complicated due to the elasticity of the product
All our test results to date indicate too much air in system
Since pipework is above ground we are able to inspect all joints and can confirm the system is sound and no leaks exist
I've asked for Guidance from WRC , the creators of the test procedure , to ask if we can infer the tests have passed since we know of no leaks
WRC , have refered me to this forum
Can anyone help ??
Any advice would be very much appreciated
Many Thanks

500 Litre Blow Moulder Capacity
Any one know a blow moulder that has 500 litre capacity?
melting point of plastics for pipes
We are trying to identify an independent source of information on the general performance of plastic pipes used in the construction industry in the event of a fire. In particular, the softening and melting points of all types of plastics used for pipework in the construction industry would be useful.
If possible, the typical range of pipe diameters and pipe wall thicknesses for each plastic type would also be useful.
We need to know this information to identify which plastic pipes to use when fire testing intumescent pipe collars. These collars are designed to expand and seal any hole in a wall or floor that develops in the event of a building fire when the plastic softens and melts. For example, we could test the pipe collar fitted to a plastic pipe with a high melting temperature, and on one with a lower melting temperature, and then conclude that a pipe with an intermediate melting temperature would be OK without testing. There are several other factors to take into account, but this basic information on pipe properties and sizes would be greatly appreciated.
