Recycling of food contaminated plastic film
Are you aware of any reprocessor/recycling facility that accept/would accept food contaminated plastic film from the food and drink manufacturing in the UK and more specifically in Wales?
Thank you
Jolyon Roe
Co-founder and Director of Red Kite Recycling.
Red Kite Recycling specialises in the recycling of PVC including both post industrial and post consumer material. The factory is based in Neath near Swansea and is a fully permitted transfer station so we can accept all glazing waste including glass.
I am interested to forge links with anyone in the industry for mutual benefit.
My experience prior to the waste industry was food marketing, research and consultancy. I left in January 2007 with the ambition to set up a business. It has certainly been an eventful journey so far !

A degree in Philosophy and Politics from Warwick University somehow qualified me for a lifetimes work in the Plastics Recycling Industry.
Firstly for 20 years as a Director in the family business, Chases Plastics Limited, specialising in the manufacture of recycled Polythene Film Compounds.
Secondly as Commercial Manager sales and purchasing for Waste Exchange Services Limited (now Greenstar WES)a Company then specialising in the recycling of polypropylene flexible scrap to compound.
