An old drawing calls up heat treating the component, a Nylon 66 bush, half way through machining by boiling in 'Scurol O' followed by slow cooling then boiling in water. Since Scurol is no longer available please can you advise me what other oil or alternative method of heat treatment can be used? I am reluctant to use some oils in case they have a detrimental effect on the nylon.
