We wish to produce a fuel tank which will contain petrol for a motor car, in a rotational moulded Polyethylene.
Our supplier recommends that Icorene 1613 BK 85 is only suitable for diesel fuel, however, Ford motor company specify that they use polyethylene for their petrol variants.
My research indicates that the above material only becomes unstable above 50 degrees C.
Please tell me if the material is acceptable for use with petrol. or alternatively specify what material should be used for a rotationally moulded product for use with petrol & diesel fuel.
